A tradition of hospitality

Quiet and idyllic in a valley away from Bessenbach, on the edge of the Spessart, the farm has been in family ownership for over 400 years. His face has changed a lot.

Overview

In 1962 Georg and Regina Schultes took over the farm and restaurant from Regina’s parents.
From 1986 to the end of 2008, the siblings Hubert Schultes and Stefanie Herold managed the farm with their families.

2009 Hubert Schultes took over the hotel “Sulzberger Hof” in Sulzberg in the Allgäu and
since 2013 the hotel “Zum Hirschen”.

Steffi and Michael Herold continue the Waldmichelbacher Hof.

 

 

A wonderful destination in the countryside

The farm, which without exaggeration can be described as exemplary and ecologically trend-setting, is run by son Claus Schultes and his family. Senior boss Georg Schultes takes care of Haflinger breeding – which has existed since 1965 – and pension horse keeping.

The Schultes and Herold families have made the Waldmichelbacher Hof what it is today through their ambition. A wonderful destination in the countryside with a cosy restaurant whose good reputation reaches far beyond the borders of the Spessart.

In short, a place where you feel at home and the guest is really still king.
